it was one of the best exclusives and one of my favorite vinyls, it has a shiny, sleek look to it and the card layout of the back is pretty cool too!

I didn't go to the expo, but were the vinyls only for D23 members, or could anyone attending the expo get one? Also, how big was the Vinyl section? Did they have a lot of upcoming stuff, prizes, etc.? Is there any other news, like a possible future section in parks for trading?

On the first day the vinyls were limited release to D23 members only, one per person. After that they were in the stores limit two per person.

The vinyl section in the store was just like any other store in Disneyland, except the Holidays disappeared fast. They had them in boxes off to the sides and just went straight from the CM's hands into ours.

They did a trading game where you would pick a number from a box that had 12 numbers, whatever was behind that "door" would be the vinyl you got. They had Park 1's, chasers, and such that you could win.

I spoke with Donald and he mentioned that they were going to test the waters with Vinylmation trading in Florida first.

Oh, did you have to pay for the trading game, or was it free with admission?

Also, that's good to hear! =D I hope it does well there so it'll come to DL! =D

There was no charge, you just had to have your own vinylmation figure to trade for their's.

Oh, okay, so people think that was a possible way of trading in the parks in the future?

We are all waiting to see what they are coming up with. The game they did at D23 Expo used one of the display cases with it blacked out so you couldn't see what was inside and you picked a square and got whatever vinyl was inside. Now if they are going to do the game in the parks or some form of trading we have yet to see as this was a test. Only time will tell for sure what they have in store!

I'm hoping that maybe they'll add vinyl trading like that at the pin event next summer. Since they had vinylmation represented there last summer, why not add a little vinyl trading for those of us who do both vinyl's and pins?

I hope they bring the trading to DLR. It seems like we are always behind WDW when it comes to testing things out. Lucky for us we got a sneak peak of what's to come at the Expo. I think they should test out the trading game at both Parks to be fair to us out here in CA. We love vinylmation just as much as the FL people!
